Goyard (creator), Ever faithful dog bottle
France End 19th - Early 20th Century White porcelain with multicolour décor and gold highlights Length 6 cm, height 11 cm
Château de Chamerolles, First 20th Century Room
Château de Chamerolles has a spectacular collection of emblematic perfumes, although some bottles, which may be less prestigious, are sometimes the most original. Here, this elegant porcelain bottle is decorated with a small dog which clearly tells us what it contained: a perfume for dogs! The Goyard House is still present in Paris, and sells luxury leather creations with a specific catalogue for products dedicated to animals. During La Belle Epoque, their advertisements proudly proclaimed “The most chic dogs dress at Goyard! ”
